Sun Burn Baby Shower

So today I went to my friend Alissa's baby shower. It was in someones backyard and it was a sunny beautiful day on the central coast and a great time but by the time it was over my face and arms were burnt, burnt, burnt. Here's my arm kind of gross looking but it really shows how burnt I am.

Here's me looking miserable with my burnt arm and face, it actually looks better since I've been putting aloe on it all evening.

Here's Alissa and I, she's so adorable and for sure one of the cutest pregnant women I've ever known.

Carrie's Graduation

This last week my sister Callie and I drove down to southern California for my sister-in-law Carrie's graduation from UC northridge. Here's me, Carrie, and my brother Matthew sipping our wonderful strawberry lemonade during the post graduation dinner at "the cheese cake factory". Yummy but super sweet.

Carrie, Matthew, Callie and Tara after the graduation. One observation I had however: I didn't realize how long college graduation were...when you're not the one graduating. Recommendation: Bring a good book so you can read while keeping an ear open for your graduates name.

Ladies Night

In order to get to know the girls we visit teach my sister Callie and I decided to have the girls over for a ladies night at our house. Although I had to change my initial plan of attack to accommodate a slightly more calm group than what I'm use to at school it ended up going really well and we all had fun singing Karaoke, painting nails, eating and just being girls.

Just hanging out (Me with Bekah)

And we even having a drawing contest. We had to draw each other and this is me with the drawing Kylie made of me, it's quite a good likeness, don't you think?

Graduation from BYU-Idaho

My Graduation from BYU-Idaho was amazing and exceeded my expectaitons in almost every way.My parents, my sister Callie and my Grandma came all the way from California. I got to be a part of the first ever BYU-Idaho graduation chior (made up totally of graduates) and we had two of the twelve, Eyring (my fav) and Ballard who was there to watch his grandson graduate it was amazing! The graduation was totally focused on the importance of us going out and doing good in the world which was really inspiring! It was a great day.
Elder Eyring charged us to:
1. Exercise Faith
2. Develop charity
3. Find the truth
4. Choose to keep the commandments
Simple yet profound advise!

here's my best grad photo, I look hot right?

Mothers weekend

My aunt Lisa came to Rexburg for BYU-Idaho's mother weekend this year. Since my Mom wasn't able to come (they are coming for graduation in April! Exciting!) Aunt Lisa and Tiana (my cousin also attending BYU-I) including me in their group! We went shopping, played games, and attended several of the mothers weekend shows. We had a great time. On the way to the airport to drop Aunt Lisa off we stopped at the Idaho Falls Temple to take pictures. This picture across the street from the Temple just up from the "Falls".

Aunt Lisa and I, in the same location, you can see the falls dropping off in the background.
Tiana and I
Here's all of us together! Such a great weekend and a lot of fun!

Kathleen's Birthday

For our roommate Kathleen's 21st birthday we decided to go wild! It was a night full of new experience for all of us. Here is Kathleen trying a jello shooter made with berry jello and sprite. It was funny to see all of us trying to do it.

Jenna and I tried sushi at the Polynesian restaurant we went to for dinner, yum!

A roommate toast to the birthday girl: with really sour lime margarita's (virgin) complete with umbrellas (L to R: Kathleen, Shalyn, Jenna, Tara, and Myriah).

We finished the night off with Karaoke, here's Myriah and I singing a really great version of "It's 5 o'clock somewhere"! It was a great night and lots of fun!
