Mothers weekend

My aunt Lisa came to Rexburg for BYU-Idaho's mother weekend this year. Since my Mom wasn't able to come (they are coming for graduation in April! Exciting!) Aunt Lisa and Tiana (my cousin also attending BYU-I) including me in their group! We went shopping, played games, and attended several of the mothers weekend shows. We had a great time. On the way to the airport to drop Aunt Lisa off we stopped at the Idaho Falls Temple to take pictures. This picture across the street from the Temple just up from the "Falls".

Aunt Lisa and I, in the same location, you can see the falls dropping off in the background.
Tiana and I
Here's all of us together! Such a great weekend and a lot of fun!

Kathleen's Birthday

For our roommate Kathleen's 21st birthday we decided to go wild! It was a night full of new experience for all of us. Here is Kathleen trying a jello shooter made with berry jello and sprite. It was funny to see all of us trying to do it.

Jenna and I tried sushi at the Polynesian restaurant we went to for dinner, yum!

A roommate toast to the birthday girl: with really sour lime margarita's (virgin) complete with umbrellas (L to R: Kathleen, Shalyn, Jenna, Tara, and Myriah).

We finished the night off with Karaoke, here's Myriah and I singing a really great version of "It's 5 o'clock somewhere"! It was a great night and lots of fun!

Skiing Idaho Style

So on Presidents day this year since we didn't have school so our good friend Christina, who is a ski instructor, offered to take us down hill skiing. Since it really does seem to be something you should do when you have a ski resort a half our away, My friend Myriah (also from California) and I decided to go for it, risk your life, why not?! I couldn't figure out how to rotate this picture in the blog, so, here it is ME happily anticipating a day of skiing since I was really little...

Here's Myriah and I at the top of the bunny hill for our first run down...at least you can see we knew how to stop...

Myriah, Christina, and I after several hours of skiing. Although it for sure wouldn't be my preferred Olympic sport and we were a little sore and tired we did enjoy ourselves and Christina was a great teacher!
